Dorothy L. Mott limits her practice to the representation of debtors in Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy cases. Ms. Mott's two daughters, Kara K. Messner, Esquire, and Kristin K. Messner, Esquire, joined her law firm in 2001.

Ms. Mott is the mother of four children. She received her Bachelor's degree from Bloomsburg State College in 1971, her Master's degree in Education from Temple University in 1975, and her J.D. from Dickinson School of Law in 1985. She received her certification in Consumer Bankruptcy Law from the American Bankruptcy Institute in 1991 and is a certified mediator.

Following graduation from law school, she was associated with the law office of Lawrence G. Frank; she opened her own office in 1988.
